Gala chairs Perri and Dan D'Armond raised over $564,000 for SEARCH’s Tiny Treasures Programs!
The evening was an unbelievable success! The outside venue was beautiful, the food and entertainment great, and the silent auction well-attended. What more can we say but “thank you” to everyone who supported the gala.
There were 560 Houstonians in attendance, all seated around the Reflection Pool – among them former Congressman Chris Bell, the Honorable Ellen Shelton, Lorraine and Ed Wulfe, and Lisa Frantz.
Ambassador Arthur & Joyce Schechter joined Regina Rogers in a $25,000 challenge grant for Hopes and Promises scholarships. This first generous gift was immediately matched by a $25,000 gift from Lisa Pitcock. These two donations were quickly followed by an additional $18,775 in individual donations. The guests generously contributed a grand total of $68,775 for Hopes and Promises scholarships. Hopes and Promises ensures that homeless children receive top-notch education, early childhood development, and therapeutic care at SEARCH's House of Tiny Treasures.
As always, we stayed true to our signature event – short on program, long on fun. And what fun everyone had dancing to the tunes of the Durell Coleman Band!
