
Chevron Houston Marathon: Run for a ReasonThe 2008 Chevron Houston Marathon is just around the corner in January. Last year, Chevron's Run for a Reason Charity program raised over $850,000 for 40 charitites in Houston. This year, the goal is $1 million dollars. You can participate by registering for the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon or the 5K Fun Run.
What is Run for a Reason?
Run for a Reason is a yearly charity fundraising drive in which local businesses, organizations and runners use the Marathon as a vehicle to raise money for charitable causes. Last year, the Run for a Reason program raised over $850,000 for local and national charities. Run for a Reason is a great way for MOTIVATE runners during those long training runs and on race day. Knowing that other people are benefiting from your efforts and counting on you will give MEANING to your run.
How to help:
You can help in a number of ways. You can run for SEARCH! Become a fundraiser. Or you can make a donation to the Chevron Houston Marathon for one of our runners and fundraisers on behalf of SEARCH.
