SEARCH Programs

There are an estimated 14,000 homeless individuals in the greater Houston area. In order to break the cycle of homelessness, services must be in place to address EVERY need an individual or family might have.

SEARCH provides services to all segments of Houston's homeless. Each and every program is designed to meet the complex needs that may arise. Entry into SEARCH's programs begins through our Mobile Outreach Program and/or the on-site Resource Center. Healthcare services, available at the SEARCH facility, address medical and dental needs. Following an initial assessment, the participant and case manager work together to identify what they feel is needed to become self-sufficient and create a individualized plan of action.

With a plan in place, the case manager monitors the participant and assists him/her gain access to SEARCH's more structured programs like the Employment Education Center, on-site and community-based housing, and the children's program, the House of Tiny Treasures. These programs serve as supportive services while the participant begins working on their plan to exit homelessness.
