The Resource Center

Resource Center Room SEARCH's Resource Center is a full-service day shelter that serves as the entry point for homeless and/or at-risk individuals and families. Through the Resource Center, clients gain access to SEARCH programs and mainstream social service providers.

The Resource Center provides a wide range of supportive services that address the fundamental needs of people experiencing homelessness. These fundamental needs must be met before long-term changes can be considered.

These services include:

Food
Laundry
Showers
Clothing
Telephone
Mailing Address
Information and Referral to receive other needed resources/services
Bus tokens for medical appointments, access to community agencies, emergency shelters, and other appointments
HIV/AIDS case management, counseling, testing
Substance abuse counseling and education

Resource Center Washing Machines

The Resource Center collaborates with twelve mainstream social service providers to provide on-site services to homeless individuals and families.

The Resource Center operates five days a week, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm and Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 12:00pm.
